Rams, NFL Donate Equipment To LAUSD Schools

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Rams and the NFL have teamed up to donate football equipment to schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

The donations will go to all 67 schools in the district with football programs.

Equipment donated will include 10,000 footballs, 6,000 shirts, 3,000 jerseys, as well as shorts, sandals and cleats.

"It's good to have them involved," Trent Cornelius, athletics coordinator for the LAUSD, told the Los Angeles Times, referring to the Rams. "After 22 years, they're back and they're taking an interest and not just selling tickets and trying to win games. It shows good faith and shows they understand the need of the youth today."
