Raiders WR Cooper Added To Pro Bowl As Injury Replacement

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Oakland Raiders rookie receiver Amari Cooper was added to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement.

The NFL announced Thursday that Cooper would take the place of New York Jets wideout Brandon Marshall.

Cooper is the fifth Raiders player to get the honor, joining injury replacement quarterback Derek Carr, safety Charles Woodson, pass rusher Khalil Mack and fullback Marcel Reece. Reece will not play because of a suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Cooper led all rookies with 72 catches for 1,070 yards this season. He is the sixth Raiders rookie to make the Pro Bowl, joining Woodson, Tim Brown, Marcus Allen, Ray Guy and Raymond Chester.
