Pursuit Ends In Bellflower With Crash Into CHP Patrol Car

BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com) — A pursuit ended in Bellflower on Tuesday evening with multiple injuries after a suspect collided with a vehicle and proceeded to drive into a patrol car, according to authorities.

California Highway Patrol officers were in pursuit of a white SUV on the 91 Freeway before the driver got off the freeway onto surface streets in the city.

The suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle at Ramona Street and Clark Avenue during the chase and continued driving into a CHP patrol car, according to an agency spokesperson.

No officers were injured.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were on the scene treating victims. It was unclear how many were injured or to what extent.

The suspect was taken into custody.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
