Public's Help Sought To Locate Missing 39-Year-Old Man In Thousand Oaks

THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Tuesday to locate a 39-year-old man who has been reported missing in Thousand Oaks.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, family members reported Anastacio Barbosa Chavez -- a transient known to frequent Oxnard and Thousand Oaks -- missing on Oct. 14 after not having contact with him in over a month.

As of Dec. 1, Chavez's family members have still not had contact with him.

Detectives described Chavez as a Hispanic man who has black hair, brown eyes, stands 5-foot-2 tall and weighs 170 pounds.

He is believed to not have a vehicle or phone in his possession.
