Public's Help Sought In Search For Missing Man, 74

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help in their search for a 74-year-old man last seen nine days ago.

Augustine Macias left home for his daily walk the morning of November 20 in the area of Tapo Street and Los Angeles Avenue but never returned, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.

Family members have been told Macias was seen walking westbound on Los Angeles Avenue later that day.

They say he may be disoriented and having trouble finding his way home.

Macias is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a brown dress shirt with black jeans, a blue baseball cap with a black logo and a team jacket.

Police say he is known to be an avid walker and may be located a significant distance from where he was last seen.
