Public's Help Sought In Search For Theft Suspect Who Targeted Huntington Beach Medical Building

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Huntington Beach police are asking for the public's help in the search for a theft suspect who targeted a Hoag medical building earlier this month.

Authorities say a male suspect forced entry into the Hoag medical building, located in the 19000 block of Beach Boulevard, around 12:25 a.m. December 6.

Security video on the first floor of the building captured the suspect entering multiple offices belonging to various businesses once inside.

"The suspect stole an envelope with several payment checks made out to the business they were taken from, a small black safe with approximately $280 in cash, Starbucks gift card, Kindle Fire and $17 in cash," reads a statement from HBPD.

Other businesses had pry marks on their doors, although no entry was made, police say.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-40-years-old, with an average build, short dark brown hair, clean shaven, wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to call the Huntington Beach Police Information Hotline at 714 375-5066. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can contact Orange County Crime Stoppers via phone at 1-855-TIP-OCCS (855-847-6627) or by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S) from a cell phone.
