Public's Help Sought After Woman Killed, Man Injured In Watts Shooting

WATTS (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday were seeking the public's help for any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for killing a 29-year-old woman in South Los Angeles.

Samika Griggley was shot Sunday just before 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of 114th Street and Croesus Avenue in Watts, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A suspect drove up to a group of bystanders and fired several shots hitting Griggley and another man. Both were transported to local hospitals where Griggley died from her injuries.

The other unidentified victim was listed in stable condition.
