Public's Help Needed To Capture Armed Man Believed To Have Robbed Pet Store

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Thursday to identify and capture an armed man who robbed a pet store in Culver City.

Culver City police say a man walked into Petco Unleashed, 13411 Washington Blvd., about 8:40 last Thursday and demanded that the cashier give him all the money in the cash register while pointing a silver revolver at her.

The cashier gave the robber the money and he fled through the parking lot toward Glencoe Avenue.

The man wore a very distinctive Army Airborne sweat shirt and also carried a blue reusable shopping bag from Albertson's , which is right across the parking lot, police said.

The man was described as white, about 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing the black sweat shirt, gray sweat pants and Chuck Taylor-style Converse shoes. He also wore a black bandanna, with a white skull and crossbones print, across his face, cover it from the nose down.
