Previously Convicted Pimp Sentenced For Forcing SoCal Woman Into Prostitution

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A man previously convicted of acting as a pimp was sentenced Friday for forcing a local woman into prostitution.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a news release that 40-year-old William Earl Flavors was sentenced to ten years in federal prison.

According to the news release, Flavors' sentence was ordered to run consecutively to a four-year prison term for similar conduct back in 2012.

The DOJ says Flavors pleaded guilty in December to transporting his victims from Long Beach to Las Vegas for prostitution.

According to the news release, Flavors admitted to using physical abuse and threats of more abuse against one of his victims.

Prosecutors said in sentencing memorandum that Flavors beat this victim and, in one instance, burned her "legs with a lit cigarette."

Flavors previously pleaded guilty to trafficking two minors across state lines back in December of 1999.
