President Obama Tells World Cup Champions It's OK To Be 'Playing Like A Girl'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — President Barack Obama welcomed America's World Cup winning soccer team to the White House Tuesday and talked about what it really means to "play like a girl," especially when it includes a world championship.

The team gave the president an Obama jersey.

He then joked with U.S. midfielder Carli Lloyd about her record-breaking hat trick in the finals victory.

"Carli's performance was so good that by the time the game was over, someone had changed her title on Wikipedia from midfielder to president of the United States," he said.

Before leaving the White House, the team took a selfie with the president.

The World Cup champions celebrated their title with fans in downtown Los Angeles back in July.
