3.6-magnitude earthquake strikes near Banning

A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Banning at 10.57 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey. 

The epicenter was 2.5 miles south of Banning, in Riverside County, and was felt as far west as Corona and east in Indio. 

There were no reports of damage or injury.
