Powerball Ticket Worth $347K Sold In Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — There were no jackpot winners in Wednesday's Powerball draw but a lucky ticket holder in Lake Elsinore came close to the $131 million top prize.

A ticket sold at the Circle K 1959 (16331 Lakeshore Drive) is worth $347,092, according to California Lottery officials.

That ticket holder got 5/5 of numbers but missed the Powerball.

The winning numbers picked Wednesday are 1, 2, 7, 9 and 55. The Powerball number was 29.

Because no one matched all six numbers, Saturday's jackpot climbs to at least $152 million.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Draws for the $2 game are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Powerball starts at $40 million. The jackpot climbs when there is no winner. The record jackpot reached $590 million in May 2013.
