Powerball Jackpot Hits $400M Ahead Of Drawing

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Powerball jackpot has reached $400 million ahead of Wednesday night's drawing.

Lottery players have a one in 175 million chance to strike it rich after a winner was not picked after a dozen drawings.

The estimated cash value is $227.8 million.

The jackpot is he sixth-largest in U.S. history, California Lottery officials said.

The winning numbers will be announced during KCAL9 News at 8 p.m.
