Toddler Diagnosed With Deadly Brain Cancer Sees The World Through Postcards

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A toddler diagnosed with terminal brain cancer has been given the chance to see the world without having to leave the comfort of her Washington home.

Ellie Walton, 3, has been battling a fast growing brain tumor known as glioblastoma for most of her life.

According to the Walton family, Ellie has been through 17 surgeries and nine rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. She was only four months old when she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.

Since receiving her diagnosis, Ellie has become enamored with receiving postcards in the mail. To help cheer her up, Ellie's mother posted a simple request for friends and fans of the Prayers for Ellie Walton Facebook page to mail destination postcards to her daughter.

Words can not express how grateful I am. Thank you for bringing smiles to my girls. #blessed
