Elderly Man Fatally Struck While Walking Across Street In Century City

CENTURY CITY (CBSLA.com) — An elderly man was fatally struck Tuesday morning while walking across a street in Century City.

An approximately 80-year-old pedestrian was hit around 6:40 a.m. on W. Olympic Boulevard at Linnington Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stopped following the incident and was cooperating with authorities.

Olympic was closed between Beverly Glen and Patricia Avenue until about 11:20 a.m.
