Pomona Teen Arrested In Shooting Death Of 69-Year-Old Roommate

POMONA (CBSLA.com) – A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on murder charges in the shooting death of his 69-year-old roommate overnight Sunday at their Pomona apartment.

At 12:06 a.m. Monday, Pomona police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment at 175 W. W. 2nd St. Officers and paramedics arrived to find a 69-year-old Dwain George Kaiser with gunshots wounds.

Kaiser died at the scene.

His 17-year-old roommate was detained and later arrested on one count of murder. He was booked into the Pomona Jail. His name was not released.

Police did not immediately disclose the circumstances that precipitated the killing.
