Standoff Prompted By Reports Of Shots Fired Ends In Pomona

POMONA (CBSLA) — A standoff in Pomona ended Wednesday with one suspect in custody.

The sound of gunfire was reported at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Gilbert Street, near Fairplex Drive, prompting officers to the area.

Officers got some family members to come out of the home voluntarily, but two stayed inside. After ending the standoff, police reopened the area of Gilbert and Orange Grove at about 7:45 a.m.

Police did not say whether anyone was believed to be injured.

The investigation into the gunfire and standoff is ongoing.
