Pomona Police Identify Victim Who Was Fatally Set Ablaze By Wanted Suspect

POMONA (CBSLA.com) —  Pomona Police on Saturday identified the victim of a fatal attack on Christmas day.

Police are looking for suspect Clarence Duwell Dear, 51, of Pomona.

Authorities said Dear got into a domestic violence situation with 41-year-old Dawn Hensley of Pomona on Christmas. They say he attacked the woman, threw something flammable on her (like gasoline) and then ignited a flame (possibly using a lit cigarette.)

According to witnesses, the woman ran screaming and engulfed in flames onto the 1500 block of Cordova Street Friday around 1:45 p.m.

Dear was seen fleeing the scene, witnesses said. Dear is, of course, considered dangerous.
