Gunman Wanted In Pomona For Fatally Shooting 8-Year-Old Boy

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police Tuesday searched for a gunman who fatally shot a young boy in Pomona.

The shooting was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of West 11th Street.

CBS2's Jasmine Viel reported the suspect fired at least one round at the home during the drive-by shooting.

Paramedics transported an 8-year-old boy to a hospital where he later died. He was later identified as Jonah Min Hwang.

According to Viel, the victim was eating dinner at home with members of a church group and two teachers when the gunman opened fire.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
