Police: Woman's Death In Garden Grove Apartment Appears Suspicious

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A 40-year-old woman's body was found inside her apartment in Garden Grove, and its being investigated as a "suspicious death," police said Wednesday.

The body of the woman was discovered in the 13000 block of Casa Linda Lane at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Bob Bogue. Her name was withheld pending family notification.

The woman resided in an apartment with "hoarding conditions," which has made it difficult for crime scene investigators to analyze evidence, which includes blood, Bogue said. The body remained at the scene as of 10:30 a.m.

The woman's boyfriend called authorities, reporting that "it was a medical aid, possible dead body," he said.

The 53-year-old man, whose name was not released, was asked to accompany detectives to the police station so investigators could question him further. The man appeared to be living with the victim, Bogue said.
