Police Warn Of Man Holding Cell Phone Under Women's Restroom Stalls At UC Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Police at the University of California, Riverside, sought the public's help Monday following a series of secret recordings reported in women's restrooms on campus.

Three separate incidents where a man was reported to have attempted to secretly videotape females in restroom stalls using a cell phone between June 3 and July 22, according to UC police.

In all three incidents, the only description of the suspect is limited to "a male subject holding a cell phone under the stall", police said.

Witnesses say the suspect was wearing black "Lacoste" leather-textured slip on shoes and dark blue jeans, and was holding what appeared to be a white Samsung or Microsoft phone with sharp edges and no case.

Anyone with information on any of the incidents was asked to contact campus police at (951) 827-5222.
