Police Seek Suspects Accused Of Shooting Man In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An adult male was recovering Saturday after being shot in the ear by an unknown suspect.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers from the Olympic Station were sent around 1:30 a.m. to the area of 4th Street and Burrendo.

Once on scene, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his right ear.

He was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to live.

Officers said the victim and a witness called 911 from 1st Street and Vermont Avenue.

According to the victim, he had no idea he had been shot until a witness pointed out the blood from the injury.

Two to three male suspects are believed to be involved in the crime, however, no description has been provided at this time.

Authorities explained no words were exchanged between the victim and suspect at the time of the shooting.

The crime remains under investigation as no suspects have been arrested.
