Police Seek Suspect Accused Of Stabbing 16-Year-Old In Oxnard

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old male remained hospitalized Monday after being stabbed multiple times.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers were sent around 3:50 p.m. for report of a stabbing victim in the 1300 block of North Edgewood Way.

Once on scene, police located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where he remains listed in critical but stable condition.

Detectives said the crime occurred behind Albertson's located in the 900 block of North Ventura Road.

Authorities searched the area, but were not able to locate any suspects in the area.

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male with light complexion, weighing no more than 200 pounds, detectives said.

Officers said a preliminary investigation revealed this incident is not related to the recent homicide that occurred on Thursday at Sierra Linda Park.
