Police Seek Seal Beach Stabbing Suspect

SEAL BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing a 23-year-old Lakewood resident on a street corner in Seal Beach early Sunday morning.

The stabbing attack was reported at 3:44 a.m., according to Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak, and took place at the corner of Eighth Street and Ocean Avenue. The victim was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"Due to the condition of the victim and limited witness information, suspect information is extremely limited," Gonshak told City News Service.

The suspect is described as a Latino man in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-5 and weighing about 180 pounds, with a medium to chubby build. He has short, black hair and may have a mustache. The man was last seen wearing a charcoal-colored T-shirt and jeans.

Seal Beach police ask that anyone with information about the stabbing call investigators at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1110.
