Police Seek Man Accused Of Stealing 4 Diamond Rings In Culver City

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public's help Thursday in identifying a man accused of stealing four diamond rings from a jewelry store clerk.

According to the Culver City Police Department, the suspect allegedly inquired about a diamond ring around 6:15 p.m. on Monday at a Zale's Jewelry Store, located inside the Westfield Culver City Mall, in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.

When the clerk removed a ring from the display case, the suspect displayed a hand gun from his waistband, grabbed the ring, and threatened to shoot the clerk if she moved, officers said.

Officials went on to explain the suspect reached over the counter, stole three additional rings, and fled from the store.

Police explained the total value of all four rings is about $17,000.

No injuries were reported.
