Police Seek Help To Locate 2 Armed Robbery Suspects In Highland

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com) — Deputies sought the public's help Sunday to locate two armed robbery suspects in Highland.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, officers were sent around 10:30 p.m. Saturday to a Starbucks store, located in the 27600 block of Baseline Street, for report of armed robbery.

A preliminary investigation revealed an unknown black man, who was armed with a handgun, confronted a victim in the parking lot and demanded her purse.

Police said the victim handed over her purse before the suspect fled eastbound from the scene in a black Honda Civic, which was driven by another unknown black man.

Officials conducted an area check, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Detectives described one suspect as a 19-year-old black man that stands 5-foot-5 tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a beanie.

No further description was provided for the second suspect.
