Police Seek Help In Search For Missing USC Student

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for help in their search for a missing USC medical student who has not been seen or heard from since Tuesday.

Derek Adam Seehausen, 26, was last seen leaving an apartment in the 400 block of West Glenoaks Boulevard about 6 a.m. that day, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The USC Department of Public Safety said Seehausen has not been attending classes recently, and the LAPD said his family is extremely concerned for his welfare as he might be suicidal.

Seehausen is white, 6-feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds, police said. He has brown hair and hazel eyes, and was last seen wearing a light-colored T-shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call USC police at (213) 740-6000 or detectives with the LAPD Rampart Division at (213) 484-3400.
