Police Searching For Suspect In Stabbing Over Parking Dispute
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police seek a suspect wanted in the of stabbing a man during a parking dispute in Wilshire earlier this month.
Wilshire officers responded to a hospital after a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 2300 block of S. La Cienega Boulevard around 8:20 p.m. March 21.
According to a LAPD spokesperson, the victim told officers he was involved in a verbal altercation over a parking issue with the suspect.
"The altercation escalated and the suspect removed a knife from his right rear waistband and stabbed the victim on the left side of his neck," a statement from police reads.
According to authorities, the victim rode his bicycle to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The victim was later released.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male between 25 and 35, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 170-180 pounds. He was wearing all white at the time of the attack and was driving a possible late 1990s to early 2000s silver Toyota 4Runner.
Investigators say the suspect had a female passenger in his car at the time of the incident. The passenger is described as Hispanic, 25 to 35, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 and weighing 135-140 pounds. She was wearing a black V-neck blouse, light pants and light shoes at the time.
