Police Set Up Perimeter In Search For Theft Suspect In NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police have set up a perimeter in North Hollywood in the search for a theft suspect.

A LAPD spokesperson said officers were dispatched to Victory Boulevard and Whitsett Avenue around 4 p.m. after receiving a call about someone stealing from a vehicle.

When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot.

Vanowen was shut down between Ethel and Fulton avenues as the search for the suspect continued.

A second person had been taken into custody.
