Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Fatally Struck Pedestrian In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Police are searching for a driver of a vehicle that fatally struck a man in South Los Angeles overnight before driving off.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on 51st Street at Normandie. Police said a driver in an unknown vehicle was heading southbound on 51st street when that driver struck a man his 30s who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department declared the man dead at the scene.
