Police Searching For Fontana Bank Robbery Suspect

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for a suspect involved in the robbery of a Chase Bank in Fontana Monday.

Officers responded to a call of a robbery that had just occurred at the bank around 6:46 p.m.

Investigators say a white male adult walked into the facility and showed a teller a note demanding money, later yelling at the teller to hurry up.

The suspect put the money into a plastic grocery bag and walked out of the bank in an unknown direction, according to Fontana police. It was not immediately clear how much was taken.

The suspect is described as 40-50 years old, with a brown or salt and peppered beard, standing between 5-foot 9-inches to 6-feet-tall and weighing approximately 190-210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a grey Chargers hoodie, sunglasses and black gloves, according to authorities.
