Police Searching For Driver Who Hit, Killed Bicyclist In North Hills

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA) — Police were searching for a driver who fatally struck a bicyclist in North Hills Friday night.

The crash occurred at Rayen Street and Woodley Avenue at 8:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the driver of a black vehicle struck the bicyclist and then fled the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.

The suspect was described as a man in his 40s with a beard.

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but later died.
