Report: Rapper YG Wounded In Studio City Shooting

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A man who was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds Friday sustained in a shooting near a Studio City recording studio was reportedly identified as rapper YG.

Police were sent to the 3400 block of Cahuenga Boulevard at about 1:45 a.m. for a report of a shooting. Officers found blood and shell casings, but no victim or suspects.

The gunshot victim, identified by TMZ.com as rapper YG, went to Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center on Sunset Boulevard, and reported to hospital officials that he was shot on Cahuenga Boulevard. He was treated for three bullet wounds to the hip.

Los Angeles police Sgt. Ernie Fischer said the victim was "very uncooperative" with investigating officers.

"The victim is not offering any information. Nor is anyone who drove him there," he said.
