Police Arrest Man Armed With Gun In Glendale Neighborhood

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Police arrested an armed man on Wednesday within a neighborhood in Glendale.

According to the Glendale Police Department, officers were sent to Alexander Street near Pacific Avenue around midnight for report of an unwanted man at a party.

Upon their arrival, authorities encountered the man who brandished a gun.

Residents were evacuated from the home and officers set up a perimeter to search for the suspect in the area.

A SWAT team has been called to assist at the scene.

Around 7 a.m., the man was taken into custody.

At this time, it remains unclear if he knew anyone who attended the party.

According to police, no shots were fired during the incident.

No injuries were reported.
