Police Search For 2 Suspects After Store Clerk Shot In Pasadena

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Police investigators are searching for clues to help identify two suspects they say shot a store clerk during a possible robbery in Pasadena.

The shooting occurred on E. Orange Grove Blvd. between N. Marengo Ave. and N Los Robles Ave. shortly after 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Police say two armed men walked into Pepe's Video and Wireless store and shot the clerk in the upper torso after getting into an argument.

The clerk was hospitalized in stable condition and was released Saturday morning.

While there is no security video from the store to aid in the investigation, police used a bloodhound on the scene.

Other employees were in the store at the time of the shooting, and were being interviewed by police.

It was not immediately clear if the suspects stole anything from the store.
