No Victim Found After Report Of Shots Fired Near South LA School

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police responded Tuesday to a reported shooting in South Los Angeles.

Officers were responding to the area near 112th Street and Hooper Avenue for a shooting call around 2:05 p.m., according to LAPD Southeast Division.

Police placed 112th Elementary on lockdown as a precaution.

The reported incident did not occur on campus, according to an LAUSD spokesperson.

A caller reporting the incident requested an ambulance, according to the LAPD Southeast Twitter page.

Authorities later said no victim had been found at the scene.
