Suspected Surrenders After Barricade Inside Tujunga Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police took a man into custody Friday after barricade situation in the Tujunga area, officials said.

Officers responded to the 7500 block of Kyle Street around 7:20 a.m. following reports of a man with a gun, according to LAPD Foothill Division.

Police said the suspect has become barricaded inside of a home. It remains unclear if the suspect lives at the residence.

There was no immediate description of the suspect available.

SWAT officers were beginning to evacuate some homes near Kyle Street.

The suspect was taken into custody around 1:20 p.m., according to KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou. The house was being checked for weapons.
