Police Standoff Outside Pasadena City Hall Ends With Woman In Custody

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday evening ended a standoff with a woman outside Pasadena City Hall by firing a less-than-lethal round and taking her into custody.

A SWAT team responded to the area around 5:45 p.m., KNX1070 NEWSRADIO reported. A heavy police presence was visible from Sky9.

The woman was believed to be armed, police said, and expressed an intent to harm herself.

No officers were injured in the confrontation, police said.

A nearby library was placed on lockdown during the standoff.
