Police Locate Explosive Device While Serving Arrest Warrant In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Evacuations were underway Wednesday in a San Bernardino neighborhood after police located an explosive device.

The bomb squad was called to the 1300 block of Windsor Avenue shortly before 12 p.m. after police found five sticks of dynamite attached to a clock while serving an arrest warrant, according to officials.

The suspect, who was wanted on a $500,000 bond for an assault with a deadly weapon, was arrested when the item was found.

Approximately six homes were evacuated.
