Police Pursuit Ends In Azusa Crash Injuring 4, Suspect Flees

AZUSA (CBSLA.com) — A police pursuit on Monday night ended in a crash that injured at least four people in Azusa.

The pursuit ended shortly before 8 p.m., when the suspect's stolen SUV  sideswiped a car at the intersection of Gladstone Street and Lark Ellen Avenue and then hit two cars and a motorcycle at the intersection of Gladstone Street and Citrus Avenue.

Four people suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Two of the victims were airlifted from the scene.

The suspect fled the scene on foot into a nearby neighborhood and was being sought by deputies. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department set up a perimeter and called in a canine officer to assist in their search for the suspect.

The suspect was described by authorities as a male Hispanic, who is bald and wearing a black shirt and shorts.
