Pursuit Suspect Wanted For Speeding Surrenders At Police Station In Pomona

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A man wanted for a traffic violation was arrested Tuesday after leading officers on a high-speed chase through Pomona.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, the pursuit began around 10:15 a.m. along the 210 Freeway after a Hispanic man traveling inside of a black Toyota Tacoma failed to stop for officers.

During the chase, SKY2 captured the suspect momentarily stopping to gesture at police before picking up speed again.

Shortly before 11 a.m., the suspect bailed from his vehicle and ran into the Pomona Police Department where he was subsequently detained.

According to police, he was originally wanted for speeding in Rancho Cucamonga.

No injuries were reported.
