Suspicious Package Near Windsor Square Deemed Harmless

WINDSOR SQUARE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a suspicious package near the Windsor Square section of Los Angeles has been deemed harmless.

Police said the package found near Mayor Eric Garcetti's home was reported just before 5 p.m. Monday.

Officers arrived and shut some streets, including Irving Avenue and Sixth Street, while they investigated.

The package, which turned out to be a suitcase, was deemed harmless, City News Service reported.

No evacuations were ordered.
