Investigation Into Jenner PCH Crash May Take Months

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — An investigation into what caused a deadly crash on Pacific Coast Highway involving reality TV star Bruce Jenner could take months, according to police.

KNX 1070's Maggie McKay reports an attorney for the Olympic gold medalist says Jenner will provide his cellphone records if requested by investigators looking into the cause of the four-vehicle accident on Saturday night.

Investigators will be contacting the drivers of the vehicle to obtain permission to get their cellphone information from their service providers, according to Sgt. Phillip Brooks with the L.A. County Sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

In his first comments since Saturday's accident, Jenner called the crash "a devastating tragedy" and extended his condolences to the victim's loved ones. He also vowed to cooperate with the investigation in every way possible.

"There was something from his attorney saying when we ask for the cellphone request, they will grant it without any problem," said Brooks.

Jenner's publicist, Alan Nierob, told police Sunday that Jenner was not texting while driving when he got into the chain-reaction crash.

Coincidentally, the victim, Kim Howell, lived in the same gated community in Calabasas as Chole Kardashian, Jenner's stepdaughter.
