Police: Pickup Driver Flees On Foot After Deadly North Hills Crash

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA) — A driver was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the North Hills area Sunday morning.

The crash unfolded around 5:30 a.m. on Balboa Boulevard and Lassen Street.

The victim's gray Nissan collided with a white pickup truck. The Nissan driver was described as a woman in her 50s, who died at the scene.

Police say the woman driving the truck left her vehicle and fled on foot. She remains at large. No description was available for the pickup driver.

Police are asking for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
