Police Need Your Help Finding Thieves Caught On Camera Stealing Painting In San Pedro

SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — Police need your help catching the thieves and tracking down the painting they stole from a San Pedro art gallery last month.

Five people walked into the gallery at 6th Street and Pacific Avenue on July 7 after it opened, removed the large piece of artwork from a wall and walked out with it, police said.

The piece named "Escondido," which was created by artist Neil Nagy in 2004, is worth about $10,000, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspects were described as four men and a woman about 18 to 24 years old. Two of the men were carrying skateboards.

An unspecified reward is being offered for the stolen painting.
