Police: Man Wanted For Shooting Mother's New Boyfriend Is 'Armed And Dangerous'
FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — The public's help was sought Monday to find a man police say shot his mother's new boyfriend.
Tajh Hurley, 24, of Escondido, is suspected of arguing with his mother's new boyfriend while at a family function at her house in the 7800 block of El Dorado Street, according to Fontana police. At about 2:46 a.m., Hurley allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot his mother's boyfriend three times at close range, then fled in an unknown direction on foot.
The victim was taken to a hospital, treated for non-life threatening injuries and released, police said.
Hurley, who is wanted on suspicion of attempted homicide, was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, red socks with marijuana leaves pictured on them and carrying a gray backpack. Police say he took the handgun with him and is believed to be armed.
Since the above mug shot was taken, Hurley grew out his hair and now wears it in an "afro" style, police said, and he has a very visible tattoo on his neck. He also relies on public transportation to get around.
