Police: Man Shoots Girlfriend, Himself At Baldwin Park Market

BALDWIN PARK (CBSLA.com) — A man allegedly shot his girlfriend to death, then turned the gun on himself at a market in Baldwin Park Wednesday.

Police responded at 8:14 a.m. to a call of shots fired at La Blanquita Tortilleria, a meat market and grocery store at 13819 Los Angeles St., Baldwin Park police Lt. Chris Kuberry said. They found a woman dead and a man suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The man, whose name was not released, was hospitalized in critical condition, he said.

There were other people in the store, but no one else was injured, Kuberry said.
