Hit-and-run crash shuts down Olympic Blvd. in Beverly Hills

A woman suspected of hitting and critically injuring a male pedestrian with her vehicle in Beverly Hills Friday evening, then fleeing, was arrested.

The man was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Olympic Boulevard near Rexford Drive around 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The driver was located moments later in an undisclosed area and arrested, then booked on suspicion of hit-and-run, police said. Additional unspecified charges against the woman are pending, police said.

Olympic Blvd. was been shut down during the investigation.
