Police Arrest Suspect In Fatal Shooting At North Hollywood Car Wash

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in North Hollywood Saturday.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene in the 6400 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, at Victory, around 1:39 p.m.

Police said the shooting followed an altercation between two men at a car wash. The shooting occurred outside the business.

CBS2's Brittney Hopper reported from the scene.

Witnesses told her the suspect came into the car wash "wanting to fight someone."

At one point, she said, the suspect put his gun on the counter.

Police said the suspect and the victim got into a brief argument.

The suspect reportedly shot the victim in the head and then fired off about ten more rounds, witnesses said.

Some witnesses were ducking for cover while others were trying to flee the scene.

Police told Hopper they believed the incident was gang-related.
