Police Investigating Death Of Woman In Windsor Square Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police were investigating the death of an elderly woman in a home in the Windsor Square section of the city on Monday night.

From the scene, KCAL9's Dave Bryan reported that the investigation was in its preliminary stages, and that a caretaker had discovered the body in an upstairs bedroom. While police would not speak on the record, a source close to the investigation indicated that the woman may have been stabbed to death.

Police are not saying anything about whether there were any witnesses, but they have been canvassing the neighborhood trying to find people who may be familiar with the situation, Bryan said.

Windsor Square is a very exclusive neighborhood with large homes, not far from the mayor's residence in Getty House.
